Salad should be one of the healthiest choices you can make for a meal. However in our calorie infused country we have found ways of making them calorie dense and fattening. At the end of the day remember what makes a salad healthy is the veggies, fruit, nuts and seeds. If it is not in one of those categories evaluate the topping to see if its really worth consuming.
